If you don’t have the opportunity to pop to New York, you might want to take a trip to Paris to admire an amazing exhibition of items from the collections of the world-famous Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). A legend in the art world, the MoMA first opened its doors in 1929 in Manhattan.
Exceptional works
Jointly curated by the two institutions, the new exhibition features a cross-disciplinary selection of works drawn from the MoMA collections and placed on display at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. In the unique setting of Frank Gehry's stunningly innovative building you can admire the works of artists such as Edward Hopper, Brancusi and Cézanne. Divided into three sections, the exhibition offers a chronological journey among the masterpieces of icons who, in one way or another, revolutionised the art world.
FIAC 2017: The Grand Palais becomes a temple of contemporary art
The 44th edition of the Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain (FIAC) will be held in Paris from October 19th to 22nd, 2017, at the Grand Palais. This remarkable fair will feature selections of works offered by the most influential galleries involved in the international art market, allowing you to discover modern or contemporary works that are among the most sought after by collectors and connoisseurs. The Lafayette sector is reserved for emerging galleries that will surprise you with the freshness and eclecticism of their selections.
FIAC beyond the Grand Palais
The organisers of FIAC will also arrange displays of sculptures and installations in the vicinity of the Grand Palais. For those who wish to enjoy FIAC while visiting emblematic Parisian locations, there will be a Hors Les Murs (Outside the Walls) programme, featuring art works on display in the Jardin des Tuileries, Musée National Eugène Delacroix and Place Vendôme.
